TransYouth Speak Leadership Development group members will be presenting on using media for advocacy at the GLSEN Los Angeles Proud Out Loud!: Students of Color Organizing Conference to be held on Sunday January 20th, 2013. Proud Out Loud! is a one-day conference that will gather middle and high school students of color from the Los Angeles area to provide networking and skill building opportunities. The conference is meant to empower young people of color to organize and share their story. Proud Out Loud! will afford LGBT and Allied students of color with an opportunity to: network with organizers from the LA area, create action plans, and explore the intersection of their identities.
